More state sector organisations and schools will be supported to switch to clean energy as part the Government's plan for a carbon neutral public sector by 2025.
A further $22.92 million of co-funding has been allocated to 19 new decarbonisation projects, from the State Sector Decarbonisation Fund (SSD).
A further $10 million in co-funding has also been allocated to support the Ministry of Education’s School Coal Boiler Replacement Programme, to ensure that all remaining coal boilers in New Zealand state schools can be replaced with renewable woody biomass or electric heating sources by 2025.
