ARUP and Verdant Vision's life cycle assessment compares the environmental impact of electric vehicles (EVs) with internal combustion engine vehicles (petrol and diesel). The report confirms that EVs are better for the New Zealand environment than petrol or diesel powered vehicles, across the life cycle of the vehicle as well as in use.
